8652

8652 started by taking a simple match and exploring its form in order to create something new, that completely changes how this mundane object is thought of. Observing the typical match, you may notice that the top is slightly wider than the bottom, so when amalgamated, a curve is formed and ultimately a sphere. Part of the exploration of this material and probably the most exciting one, involved setting the bowl on fire, something that allowed the physicality and aesthetics of this artefact to be destructively transformed.

Tavli

This Tavli, which is played exactly like backgammon, was designed and made for visually impaired people. The different levels on the board as well as the shapes of the units allow the player to feel where everything is and play the game without the need for any visual reference.

Re-claimed Desk and Trestles

When in need of a desk you make a desk. The trestles were made from scratch and have a very natural, simple finish. The desk top I adopted from the street, cleaned and sanded it down and added the black lines
